Behind The Making of Balthier Cosplay from Final Fantasy

Behind The Making of Balthier Cosplay from Final Fantasy – Creating the perfect cosplay costume is no easy task, as anyone affiliated with the cosplay world will know. A cosplay costume is not as simple as a Halloween one, where you slap a pair of cat ears and call yourself a black cat. No, cosplay is a kind of costume making program that must be accurate down to every last detail so that you resemble the character from head to toe. It involves colored contacts, wigs, personalized costumes and more.

Thus, many people turn to organizations to help them create the perfect costume for whatever character they’re impersonating. If it has to be perfect, why try to do it yourself when there are professionals out there who dedicate their lives to working on these intricate costumes, determined to get them right for the customer? Such a company is us here at Cosplay. We’ve had many successful costumes for a variety of clients. One of the best was the creation of Balthier from the video game Final Fantasy. It was a long and complicated process that involved constant communication between company and client, but everyone was happy in the end, which is the main point of how we do business. Here was the process from start to finish.
Communication with Client
The most important thing, as mentioned, is that the customer has a great experience. Part of that is rooted in ensuring that the customer is involved from start to finish. This means constant communication throughout, but also that the client gives a detailed explanation (with photos) of what they’re looking for. This includes the image they want to recreate as well as personal details so that the costume can be recreated to fit the client perfectly. This is the first step in making sure that everything is working well.
The customer is essentially in control of this project. What they say, goes, and that is how we run our service. Since creating costume is the main goal of the business, it makes sense for the most part. Combine their desires with the professional skills, and you’ve got a good combination.
Embroidery Pattern Creation
As you might expect, the embroidery on the tunic was the hardest part of this complex project. It was perfected several times and then the final version was inched onto the fabric so that it was permanent and highest quality. The customer weighed in on the project and approved of it every step of the way, suggesting improvements when possible. When the customer signed off on it, the inking and embroidery began, giving you the final image that is spookily similar to the screenshots that were provided. This is typical to how we run our business.
This embroidery was combined with the rest of the costume when it was finished and it was all put together to make a great replica of the original costume, perfect to the last detail.
Progress Photos and Communication with Client
The progress of each step (with notes and photos) was sent off to the client along the way to ensure that they were happy with it. As mentioned, this meant that the client had to give the “go ahead” signal to the team before they proceeded to the next step. While this may seem counterintuitive to businessmen, it’s important to remember that cosplay is centered around customer satisfaction and it is put first, as it should be.
While it may take a few days longer to get to the final product, the results are always worth the wait when it comes to the professional skills that all of our employees have.
Final Photos
Before the project was shipped off to the client at the end, they were asked to compare the costume with the provided photos to make sure that everything was a great match. Once the customer was satisfied, it was sent to its new home and everyone celebrated before moving on to the next project.
Creating the perfect cosplay costume is all that is important to us here at Cosplay1, and with all of the detailed work and effort that went into creating the Balthier costume from Final Fantasy, you can see just how seriously they take their jobs. It’s nice to see that good quality work can still exist in this world of scams and disappointing services. Please visit Balthier Cosplay Section in our website.
